How to Fit (3 Options)

Option 1 – Pit Bikes (full loom replacement):

• Remove the existing loom and replace it with the one supplied in this kit.

• The bike should have a 5-wire stator to plug in and charge the battery.

• If not, check our store for compatible stators, or run the loom from a 12V battery that you recharge between uses.

• In this option, the loom powers both the engine and the lights.

Option 2 – MX / Enduro / European / Japanese bikes (runs alongside the existing loom):

• The original loom stays fitted to run the engine.

• The lighting loom is installed separately to run the lights, horn, indicators, brake light, and optional speedometer.

• Connect to a 12V battery (or the bike’s existing battery if fitted).

• In this option, the loom does not power the engine.

Option 3 – Bikes without a charging stator or battery:

• Either upgrade the stator (check with your dealer for options),

• Or fit a 12V battery (4Ah minimum). Universal battery trays and straps are available separately in our store if required.

• The battery will need to be charged between rides if the bike does not have a charging stator.

Important Notes

• This is a universal kit that fits most bikes; however, in some cases, you may need to extend individual wires to position components exactly where you want them.

• Works with a 12V DC supply (from a 5-wire stator or a separate battery).

• Minimum recommended battery size: 12V 4Ah. Larger batteries last longer between charges.

• Depending on the fitment method, the loom may or may not power the engine (see Options 1–3 above).

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will this kit fit my pit bike?
A: Yes. If your pit bike doesn’t already have a 5-wire stator, you’ll need one (available separately in our store), or you can run the loom from a rechargeable 12V battery.

Q: Will this kit fit KTM, Honda CRF, Yamaha YZF or similar bikes?
A: Yes – many riders have fitted this kit. On most Japanese MX bikes, the stock loom stays to run the engine, and the light kit loom runs separately for the lights and accessories.

Q: My bike doesn’t have charging wires – can I still use this kit?
A: Yes. You’ll need to fit a 12V battery and recharge it regularly. Lithium batteries last longer than lead-acid batteries, and upgrading the headlight bulb to LED will also extend battery life.

Q: Does this kit support a speedometer?
A: Yes, the loom has a dedicated plug for our LED speedometer (plug & play, no wiring needed). See our store - part no. MXA1341
