Option 1 – Pit Bikes (full loom replacement):

• Remove the bike’s existing loom and replace it with the loom supplied in this kit.
• The loom includes connections for a compatible CDI/ignition system and the bike’s existing electric-start system.
• The bike should have a compatible 5-wire stator to connect to the loom and charge the battery.
• If it does not, check our store for compatible stators or run the kit from a separate 12V battery that can be recharged between uses.
• With this installation, the supplied loom can operate both the engine electrics and the lighting system.

Option 2 – MX / Enduro / European / Japanese bikes (standalone lighting loom):

• The bike’s original loom remains fitted and continues to run the engine.
• The kit’s loom is installed separately to operate the lights, horn, indicators, brake light, and optional speedometer.
• Connect the kit’s loom to a suitable 12V battery, including the bike’s existing battery where compatible.
• The additional CDI and electric-start connections are not required for this installation. Simply leave them disconnected and securely insulate them.
• With this installation, the kit’s loom operates the lighting and accessories only—it does not run the engine.

Power Supply Options:

The kit requires a suitable 12V DC power supply. Depending on the installation, this can come from:

• A compatible 5-wire charging stator
• The bike’s existing 12V battery
• A separate rechargeable 12V battery

For bikes without a charging system, we recommend a minimum battery size of:

• 12V 4Ah lead-acid, or
• 12V 2Ah lithium

The battery will need to be recharged between rides if it is not connected to a charging system. Running time will depend on the battery capacity and the electrical equipment being used.

• This is a universal kit that fits most bikes; however, in some cases, you may need to extend individual wires to position components exactly where you want them.
• Works with a 12V DC supply (from a 5-wire stator or a separate battery).
• Minimum recommended battery size: 12V 4Ah. Larger batteries last longer between charges.
• Depending on the fitment method, the loom may or may not power the engine (see Options 1–3 above).

Yes. If your pit bike doesn’t already have a 5-wire stator, you’ll need one (available separately in our store), or you can run the loom from a rechargeable 12V battery.

Yes – many riders have fitted this kit. On most Japanese MX bikes, the stock loom stays to run the engine, and the light kit loom runs separately for the lights and accessories.

Yes. You’ll need to fit a 12V battery and recharge it regularly. Lithium batteries last longer than lead-acid batteries, and upgrading the headlight bulb to LED will also extend battery life.
