Will This Fit Your Bike?
Check your bike before ordering – fitment depends on measurements, not the bike model name alone.
- Rear swingarm: minimum 305mm from the rear face of the swingarm bridge bar to the centre of the rear axle.
Less than 305mm: a 16" rear wheel will not be suitable at that axle position.
A longer chain can sometimes allow the rear wheel to be moved further back in the swingarm adjusters.
Use the “Check Your Bike Before Ordering” image – it shows exactly where to measure.
Also Check
- Your bike uses a 15mm axle.
- Your disc and sprocket mounting matches the dimensions shown in the listing image.
- Your wheel spacer type matches the straight / SDG type shown in the spacer guide image.
The hubs use the common SDG pit bike pattern and fit approximately 95% of standard pit bike disc and sprocket setups, but always compare your existing parts before ordering.
We cannot reliably confirm fitment from a make or model name alone. The measurements above are provided so you can check the bike accurately before purchase.
Please Read Before Purchase: These are value wheels built to the same standard used across most UK pit and dirt bikes, and offer exceptional value by including the hub, rim, spokes, tube, tyre, and rim tape as standard. They are designed for typical off-road use, and in some cases are suitable for road-legal bikes, but they are not built to racing-spec standards.
Minor rim run-out or visible distortion at the weld seam is common and expected at this level. These do not affect function in typical riding conditions and are not considered defects. If you’re expecting the flawless finish and high-speed precision of Excel rims, please note that those are over £1000 a set – if that’s the level of finish you’re after, these won’t be suitable.
Spokes must be tensioned before first use, again after 5 hours, and checked regularly thereafter. We include warning labels and a video guide to help. Loose spokes and run-out issues caused by skipped maintenance are not covered under warranty.
These are excellent value wheels for trail, pit, and dirt use – but they aren’t race wheels, and they’re not priced like them either.
WHEEL SPACER FITMENT
Pit bikes currently fitted with mag wheels, or with stepped-down wheel spacers, will require replacement straight / SDG-type wheel spacers when fitting this wheel set.
The correct compatible wheel axle spacers are available separately under part number PBB003B.
You can find them in the Wheels and Tyres category within our store, or by searching PBB003B on our website.
Important Information:
Tyres must always be inflated to 25–30 PSI before use. Under-inflation can cause the tyre to rotate on the rim and tear the tube valve, which is not covered under warranty.
On higher-powered pit bikes (140cc–212cc engines), tyre rotation can still occur even at the correct pressure. To prevent this, we recommend fitting a rear rim lock (e.g. Wheel Rim Lock – 1.85, part no. ‘ MXA0289 ‘). This requires drilling a hole opposite the valve stem and installing the rim lock inside the tyre before tightening securely.
Rear sprocket and disc bolts must be tight & thread locked. Ignoring this can damage threads/hubs and void warranty.
